Arlon on Display! Until 3 January 2027

The Musée Gaspar invites you to discover a previously unseen selection of more than forty historic posters produced after 1860. Living witnesses to collective memory, these ephemeral documents recount the history of Arlon through its major events: art exhibitions, patriotic commemorations, cultural events, propaganda and public sales.
Some of these posters, true works of art, bear the signature of local artists; others, more modest in nature, belong to utilitarian typography or popular lithography. All, however, fulfilled an essential function: to inform and to engage, at a time when public posters were a central medium of urban communication.
Through this exhibition, an entire society comes into view—its tastes, struggles, celebrations and visual codes. A graphic and historical journey into the heart of Arlon, its walls and its memories.
